MIRACLE MADDIE!

Meet Maddie! Madison is a tough cookie, and has a story to tell. Ok, here goes... four months ago, Madison was given a new Mitral Valve in her heart by the amazing doctors at Shands Childrens Hospital in Gainesville. Things happened kinda quick and in July Maddie was rushed to the hospital with a severely enlarged heart. She was flown by life flight down to Shands, and on August 17th was literally given a new chance at life after open heart surgery. The following link is very intense, and shows Madison the day after surgery. I only have included it with the permission of her mother, and to show the miraculous progress that a child can make in a few short months. (Maddie day after) The docs nicknamed her "Mitral Maddie", and she made tons of friends with the nurses and doctors at Shands and Sacred Heart. As you can see, this story has a happy ending, because Maddie is back at home, and about to go back to school. Ok, Miss Maddie...show us some attitude;) I LOVE YOU! (Maddie is my niece)
